Hello! I’m Marianne, and this is a project where I draw pictures of the things I’ve sewn, and reflect on the experience of making (and wearing) those things.

I thought it would be fun to try to capture the spirit of these clothes in a way that a photo can’t quite. Each garment inevitably carries a story – how I was feeling when I sewed it, the mistakes I made, the experiences it accompanied, the people it connected me to – and I’ll try to share a glimpse into that as well. Note - I started sewing in 2018, and still consider myself a beginner.

One of my goals for this time in my life is to put myself out into the world a little more, and this project is a small step in that direction. Thanks for visiting! ❤️
